Late-Breaking Abstracts Open April 2
Whether you're a student, early-career researcher or seasoned scientist, your research has the potential to change the world. By submitting your abstract, you're not just sharing your work—you're joining a global network of microbial science experts eager to provide feedback, engage in discussions and help you take your career to new heights.
ASM will offer another round of submission for late-breaking abstracts with potentially high impact. Submissions in the late-breaker category should highlight novel, unanticipated, high impact or disruptive studies with a time-sensitive urgency that appeal to a broader audience. Such findings should have clear public impact and/or advance a field significantly or into new directions. The abstract should focus on capturing work that has recently yielded new, unusually important and time-sensitive findings that do not simply represent incremental progress or the late completion of routine work. Examples in this category include work related to a new outbreak or research describing a newly uncovered biological mechanism.
Important Note: The late-breaking abstract submission option is not intended to be an extension of the general submission deadline. The collection of new data, after the general submission deadline on Jan. 23, 2024, is not eligible to be submitted as a late breaker.
The submission portal will be open April 2-16 12 p.m. ET.
